How to gain access to a lost Facebook page

This process is tedious and Meta Support doesn’t make it easy. However, with the necessary documents and patience, you can request and successfully gain access to a lost Facebook page.

Here is what you’ll need (according to Meta Support):

There are three documents required to gain access to a lost Facebook page

  1. Copy of valid government-issued ID (of the individual signing the statement); any of the following are accepted:
    1. Passport
    2. Government ID
    3. Driver’s License
  2. A signed statement with the following details:
    1. Government Letterhead or Seal, Company Letterhead (where appropriate)
    2. Clear and readable signature (signed by hand or digitally confirmed)
    3. A description of requestor relationship to the Business and the Business ID (and authority to request access to the Business, as applicable)
    4. An explanation of the request (example: there has been a termination of the employment and/or business relationship with the named person(s)/Business and another person needs to be added as Admin)
    5. The Facebook account (URL/ID/associated email) needing to be added as an admin
    6. One of the following:
      1. The name of the current person(s) who manage the BM as applicable the relationship of the above person(s) to the Business OR
      2. A reasonable explanation of why the current persons who manage the BM is/are not known to the requestor
    7. A declaration that the information you have provided is true and accurate, e.g. “I certify that the information provided is true and accurate” or similar
    8. For Civic requests, Government Employee IDs will be accepted.
  3. Evidence of a claim to ownership (one of the following)
    1. Option 1: Individual amounts of the past three invoices on the ad account(s) that the BM own and include the last 4 digits on the credit card +the credit card expiration date.
      1. Note: Invoice information will only be accepted if included directly in the body of the signed letter/statement
    2. Option 2: Credit Line Monthly Invoice for owned ad account
    3. Option 3: Provide at least one supporting documentation:
      1. Domain Name Assignment Agreement or
      2. Deed of Assignment of Intellect…

Once you have these documents compiled, you can submit a support request through business.facebook.com/setttings under “help” on the bottom left-hand portion of your screen.
